Skype for Business on Mac, Lync for Mac 2011 and Communicator for Mac 2011 users can't control desktops shared by Windows users. This also won't work for Skype for Business Web App on Max OSX. For Skype for Business Online, this feature requires Microsoft PSTN Conferencing, Exchange Unified Messaging, or a third-party audio conferencing provider.
Today, we are pleased to announce that Skype for Business Mac is now publicly available for download. The Mac client offers edge-to-edge video and full immersive content sharing and viewing. The result is a great first class experience for Mac users.

Enhancements to Skype for Business mobile apps on Android and iOS
We are also announcing new capabilities in Skype for Business apps for iOS and Android—including the ability to present PowerPoint files in a meeting and a faster, more reliable content sharing approach.
Present in a meeting from your mobile app—Now you can present content right from Android or iOS device. No more emailing files and links back and forth when you present from your phone or tablet. Now, sharing a PowerPoint deck in a meeting is as easy as selecting the file from your favorite cloud drive and presenting right from your phone. On Android, you can also share a file stored on the device itself. With swipe gestures, you can easily transition between different slides. Once shared, the PowerPoint file also becomes available in the meeting’s content bin for other participants to download or present.
Video-based Screen Sharing for mobile devices—We’re also continuing to enhance the content viewing experience with Skype for Business on mobile devices by using Video-based Screen Sharing (VbSS) for content viewing on iOS and Android apps. https://portfolioyellow.weebly.com/blog/peerblock-for-mac. This article describes how to do a clean uninstallation of Microsoft Skype for Business on Mac.
Procedure
To cleanly uninstall Skype of Business on Mac, follow these steps:
- Log on to your computer by using administrative credentials.
- Exit Skype For Business on Mac if it’s running.
- Drag the Skype For Business on Mac application to the Trash.
- Remove existing Skype preferences if those hidden files exist. To do so, follow these steps:
- In the Finder menu, click Go, and click Go to Folder.
- Run the following commands: Scan software for mac.
- sudo rm -rf /Applications/Skype for Business.app
- sudo rm -rf /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/MeetingJoinPlugin.plugin
- defaults delete com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness || true
- rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness
- rm -rf ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/Skype for Business_*
- rm -rf ~/Library/Saved Application State/com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness.savedState
- rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness.plist
- rm -rf ~/Library/Application Support/CrashReporter/Skype for Business_*
- rm -rf ~/Library/Application Support/com.apple.sharedfilelist/com.apple.LSSharedFileList.ApplicationRecentDocuments/com.microsoft.skypeforbusiness*
- rm -rf ~/Library/Cookies/com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness*
- sudo rm -rf /private/var/db/receipts/com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness*
- rmdir ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness
- find -f /private/var/db/BootCaches/* -name 'app.com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness*' -exec sudo rm -rf {} +
- In the Applications/Utilities folder, open Keychain Access.
- In your logon keychains, delete Skype for Business.
